INVERTICAL

Line up with gravity for this next level approach into a world upside down. Inverted balance postures like handstand, forearm balance, and headstand require attention to detail that only practice can achieve. Together we'll scope out playful techniques that'll sync movement to breath, strengthen your connection to core space and prep your body for an altered state of perspective. 

Rosie Llewellyn RYT 500 has an undying love and unique understanding for inversions. With a repertoire that is tangible for you at any level, this workshop is designed to wrap your mind around a healthy inversion practice and offer you the space to explore balance, play with shapes, and transition along the vertical axis. 

Join her for this 2 hour workshop of creative flow, exposure to alignment and experiential insight for a solid foundation to expand upon. Open to all - levels with a regular practice. 

Bring a mat, some water and lets get INVERTICAL!

This yoga experience merges a unique all-levels vinyasa flow with surreal video art that fills the space with imagery while you explore postures and breath, creating a truly interactive yoga-art installation. 

Class is 75 minutes and led by yoga teacher Rosie Llewellyn RYT 500, a Seattle based artist musing as 'Rosie In Space', while dreamlike visuals by Allyce Andrew are projected onto the spacious, blank gallery walls. 

Both yoga and visual art help us plug into our creative self and access deeper areas of the psyche. With our eyes being an extension of the brain and the highest reciever of stimulation to the central nervous system, it is vital to observe and create harmony within the body/mind when presented with external sensory. 

Join Rosie Llewellyn and Allyce Andrew for this special two-day (only) event running along side Capitol Hill Artwalk!

Playful Perspective: Inversions Beyond The Usual

Get your play fix in with the essentials needed to build strength and understand your bodies alignment when inverting. Hands down, feet up, and mind somewhere in-between, we’ll take it step by step so that balance becomes second nature. 

Press on to new heights!  Examine your next level with an intelligent focus on alignment, strength and finesse to intensify your practice inverted.

Working from the ground up we will utilize key alignment principles, activate core awareness in the body, and rely on partner assists to breakdown the basics (and the secrets!) of headstand, forearm balance, handstand and several fun arm balances!

Come experience the unique and effective teachings of inversions and arm balances. This workshop is beneficial to students with a regular yoga practice.

As you discover your inner potential by creating balance with this 4 week intro to inversions and arm balances series. We'll break down each step and explore new views in tripod, headstand, handstand, and forearm balance, while playing with daring concepts that require knowledge of the fundamentals, alignment, and mindfulness. You'll walk away feeling strong from within and light on the feet! Find what it means to play on the mat and in the world! This series is intended for beginners and intermediate practitioners.
